She had actually been looking forward to taking pictures that morning. She had picked her favorite dress, allowed me to comb her hair, surrendered to wearing a coat (the fancy one, if she could take it off when we got there). But it was "sooo cold and freezy" that she needed sunglasses to keep the wind off her face. And after a 10 minute walk on that blustery January day that reminded me off places much further north, this four-year-old was sooo over it. I begged her to "please, just try it, you look so pretty" and these are what I got.
